These beautiful fringed feathers are the fern-like
feathers that edge the peacock's fan. They have no eyes, or small
oval eyes, and a luminiscent green/blue chenille-like fringe on
one side, and all look very alpine tucked in one's hatband.
Sword feathers are used in fly-tying for fishing,
and are found in trout and salmon flies as well as having many
uses in hobbies, such as miniature fashions, head dresses, masks,etc...
and in hats.
